Isambard Kingdom Brunel Primary School currently have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced practitioner to join the team as a Classroom Teaching Assistant supporting teaching staff with responsibility for the development and educational provision of learners.
Hours of Work: 30 hrs per week - fixed term until 31 August 2025
Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm, 1 hour unpaid lunch break
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated person who can bring creativity and flair to the classroom. This role will be based across a range of year groups, subject to the schools requirements.
To provide support for learning activities for children on an individual or group basis, under the general direction of the line manager. To support and complement the work of the classroom teacher by supporting class work, the environment and personal care.
Job requirements
- A minimum of 3 GCSEs at C grade or above, including English and Maths
- Teaching Assistant qualification - desirable
- Experience of class supervision and assisting with lesson provision to achieve positive learning outcomes - desirable
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in tandem with teaching staff
- Ability to be empathetic and understanding to the needs of students
