Duties
The duties outlined in this job description are in addition to those covered by the latest School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document and those described on the job description of the ‘Class Teacher’. This job description may be amended at any time following discussion between the Principal and member of staff, and will be reviewed annually.
The Role
Starting in January, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated Teacher of Food to join our successful and supportive Design & Technology Department. This is a permanent position, offered at 0.58-0.7 FTE, providing an exciting opportunity for an outstanding practitioner to inspire students and contribute to the continued development of our Food curriculum.
The successful candidate will be passionate about Food and Nutrition, committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning, and able to engage students of all abilities across Key Stages 3 and 4. Experience of teaching Food Preparation and Nutrition at GCSE level would be advantageous.
This position is offered on the main teacher's pay scale MPS 1-6.
We are looking for
• An outstanding teacher with excellent subject knowledge;
• A practitioner who is keen to enthuse students using a variety of approaches;
• Experience of teaching Food and Nutrition at GCSE is highly desirable;
• A willingness to contribute to the enrichment activities of the Department;
