Grade: Grade 8, Pts 15 to 18
Salary: £19,230 to £21,231 per annum
Start Date: 23rd August 2022
An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join us at Melton and South Charnwood Inclusion Partnership, located at The Roundhill Academy School. The Learning Mentor is responsible for mentoring and tutoring pupils within the centre and in partnership schools, delivering a specialist learning mentor service to bridge learning and pastoral support for children and those engaged with them. The post holder will lead on extra-curricular activities and work to improve and develop pupil’s health, fitness, mental wellbeing and educational attainment through the delivery of sports and health programmes.
The ideal candidate will:
• Be emotionally and physically resilient to meet the challenges and demands of the role
• Have experience of working with children and/or adults with special needs
• Be able to work effectively in a team environment
• Have experience of supporting and delivering learning activities in an educational setting
• Have the ability to manage pupil behaviour within and outside the classroom.
