Midday Supervisor

Permanent, 38 weeks (Term Time Only)

6.25 hours per week

Grade 4, Point 5 to 6 (£2,602-£2,628)

Start Date: As soon as possible

We seek an enthusiastic Midday Supervisor to work at Mercenfeld Primary School. This is a permanent role for 1.25 hours per day, Monday to Friday, during term time only.

The role of Midday Supervisor is an important one within the school and will help to ensure that children are eating and playing in a safe, friendly environment.

As part of the Midday Supervisor role you will be required:

• To model good play and communication to support our children’s learning and personal development

• To assist SLT and other staff supervising children at lunchtime in carrying out these duties to ensure the safety and welfare of the children throughout the duration of the midday break

• To work as part of a team

• To work within the school’s safeguarding and Health & Safety policies and procedures and uphold the Code of Conduct at all times

 • To support children in developing appropriate play

 • To ensure all play equipment is stored properly, clean and in a good condition for use

Experience of working within a similar role with children and the ability to understand key policies e.g. Child Protection and Behaviour Management are essential. Along with good interpersonal skills, you will be able to work flexibly within the team and will be respectful and caring towards the pupils.
