Working Wks: Term Time + Inset Days (39 weeks per year)
Grade: Grade 5, Pts 7 to 8
Salary: £11,088 to £11,311 per annum
Start Date: 23rd August 2022
An exciting opportunity is now available for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and qualified Learning Support Assistant to join us at Great Dalby Primary School on a fixed term basis until 28th August 2023.
The SEN Learning Support Assistant will be mainly required to work on a 1:1 basis with an individual child in EYFS with special educational needs, the role of LSA within the school is an important and rewarding one. The post holder will provide care and encouragement to the individual child and support them to participate in planned learning activities, support their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. The post holder will be required to assist generally in class when 1:1 support is not required by the pupil.
The ideal candidate will have:
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
• Experience of supporting teaching and learning in an educational setting.
• Experience of supporting SEN in an educational setting is desirable
• Knowledge of various health or SEND conditions and needs, e.g diabetes, autism, ADHD etc.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• The ability to contribute to the progression of learning
