Food & Textiles Technician

Scale 3 Points 5-6 £25,583-£25,989 (pro rata) Actual (£22,176-£22,528)

37 hours a week, 8.00-4pm Mon-Thurs, 8.00-3.30pm Friday

which includes a 30min lunch break.

(Hours could be negotiated for the right candidate)

Term Time only plus 3 Inset Days.

Start date: ASAP

We are looking to appoint an experienced Food & Textiles Technician to provide efficient and effective technical support within the department.

The post holder will be required to support the delivery of both food and textiles courses.

Experience and knowledge of:-

  • Techniques used in food preparation and safe handling of food
  • Textiles equipment and techniques
  • Ability to communicate and demonstrate this knowledge effectively to staff and students is required
  • A good understanding of health and safety procedures is essential as well as a good level of literacy numeracy and ICT skills.
