At St Thomas More Catholic High School, we have a new position for a part time Assistant Librarian to work in conjunction with our School Librarian in providing library services to our students and staff. The role will be up to two days per week, term time only.

Job overview

To assist in the day to day running of the school library. To help and guide students actively during and beyond class time in developing reading for pleasure by selecting books (both fiction and non-fiction) which will engage and extend their interests.

Job requirements

Minimum of a grade C in GCSE Maths and English

Ability to prioritise tasks on a day-to-day basis

Experience of using information management systems and strong IT skills

A good level of verbal and written communication standards

Proven ability to show reliability and to work to meet key deadlines
