St Cuthbert’s Catholic High School is looking to appoint a creative, talented, and motivated Support Assistant to join our successful learning support team. We are seeking someone with experience of supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, and with a genuine passion for helping young people progress, achieve, and develop confidence in their own abilities.

As part of the learning support department, you will play an important role in enabling pupils to access the curriculum, overcome barriers to learning, and experience success in all aspects of school life. You will work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and colleagues across the school to ensure that every boy receives high quality, personalised support that helps him reach his full potential, academically, socially, and emotionally.

At St Cuthbert’s, our mission is to form great men, and the work of a Support Assistant is central to this. We are looking for someone who brings energy, empathy, patience, and creativity to the classroom; someone who believes that every pupil can succeed with the right support; and someone who sees the value of character formation as well as academic progress. Above all, we want a colleague who is committed to helping our boys grow into capable, confident, compassionate young men.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a distinguished all boys Catholic school with over a century of educational excellence. You will be part of a warm, purposeful, and highly supportive community, united by a shared vision and a strong sense of mission.

Application forms and further information are available by following the link on our online recruitment portal for submission by 9.00am on Monday 27th April 2026.
