Salary: Salary £26,403 - £27,254 per annum pro rata – Actual £21,119 - £21,800 per annum

About the Role

The Governors and Headteacher of St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School, part of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust, wish to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and skilled Learning Support Assistant (Level 3) to join our committed team.

The successful candidate will support teaching and learning across the school, including:

• Providing 1:1 support for pupils

• Leading or supporting small group interventions

• Assisting with classroom organisation and administrative tasks

• Contributing to an inclusive, nurturing learning environment where all pupils can thrive

We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to high standards, inclusion, and the Catholic ethos of the school.

The Successful Candidate Will:

• Hold a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

• Have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective learning strategies

• Demonstrate experience of supporting pupils with a range of needs

• Build positive, professional relationships with children, staff and parents

• Be a flexible team player with excellent communication skills

• Show commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education

• Work effectively in partnership with staff and external agencies where appropriate
