Applications are invited for the post of Trust Lead for SEND. Directors are seeking an experienced and talented leader to provide high quality strategic leadership of SEND across our 34 primary schools and 5 secondary schools spread across Northumberland, Newcastle and North Tyneside.
This post recognises the importance of ensuring the highest quality provision and inclusion of children with SEND in all of our schools. The post-holder will work closely with Headteachers and SENCOs to provide support, guidance and challenge and to ensure that all schools fulfil their statutory SEND responsibilities within a wider context of care and belonging. The post-holder will develop and maintain strong, strategic partnerships with external agencies to ensure high quality external support for our schools, children and families. The post-holder will continue to develop strong connections between our schools to share and promote best practice and will also ensure that high quality CPD is in place for all staff in schools.. The post-holder will work as part of the Trust’s central executive team, reporting periodically to the CEO and Directors on the quality of SEND provision across the Trust.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience and skill set. Please note the post is term time only appointed on teachers pay and conditions. Part time hours will be considered for the right candidate.
