The Bishop Wand Church of England School seeks to appoint a well-motivated and capable teacher of Religious Studies. The right candidate should be able to engage and inspire students to learn about and understand the importance of both religion and ethics in our world today.

Our School has a thriving Religious Studies Faculty and this is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and friendly teaching team. All students take the full GCSE, and there are opportunities to teach at KS3, GCSE and A level. In February 2023 our School achieved an “Outstanding” judgement following our SIAMS inspection which is testament to our commitment to our School ethos of Realising God-Given Potential in each and every student.

The successful candidate will be an innovative practitioner who can motivate students to achieve excellent results and be willing to work as part of a team. In return we can offer you a friendly and supportive environment with excellent professional development opportunities. Applications from newly qualified teachers looking for their first post or more experienced teachers looking for a career move are equally welcome.   This position is available from the Summer term 2024 or for a September start.

We reserve the right to interview on receipt of application and prior to the advertised deadline.

It is essential that candidates have the right to work in the UK as we are unable to offer sponsorship licences at this time.
