Thank you for your interest in working at The Tynings Primary School.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic full time 1 to 1 SEN Teaching Assistant. Working Monday to Thursday, you will be joining a dynamic team of teachers and assistants who encourage children to always do their very best. You will play a key role in supporting high-quality provision, working 1 to 1 with a pupil to help them access learning, manage behaviour, and build social skills.

The successful candidate will:

  •  Be passionate about making a difference to all children
  •  Have experience supporting children’s learning, 1:1 ideally within a school or classroom environment
  •  Be aspirational for every child and believe that all pupils can learn – even if they haven’t learnt something yet
  •  Be flexible and able to adapt their practice to support effective learning
  •  Demonstrate strong pupil management skills, ensuring that learning continues in a calm, structured environment
  •  Build strong, positive relationships with colleagues and children
  •  Be a reflective practitioner with a strong desire to learn and continually improve

Fluency Duty:

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to converse at ease with pupils, staff and other users and provide advice and guidance in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
