Actual Salary: £23,081
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only)
Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
Start Date: As soon as possible
About the Role
Blenheim High School is seeking to appoint a professional and enthusiastic Receptionist to provide a high-quality front-of-house service and support the Administrative Support Team.
The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, staff and students, ensuring a welcoming, efficient and professional service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a friendly and professional reception service
- Act as the first point of contact for telephone and in-person enquiries
- Manage visitor sign-in systems and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed
- Support attendance processes, including recording absences and late arrivals
- Assist with general administrative duties and communications
- Provide first aid and liaise with parents where required
- Support the smooth running of the school office
About You
- We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates strong organisational and time management abilities
- Has experience in a customer-facing role
- Is confident using IT systems (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Can work both independently and as part of a team
- Maintains confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Experience in a school environment is desirable but not essential.
