About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our busy and supportive Finance team. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Operations, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial processing and supporting the effective financial management of the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile bank accounts, petty cash and credit cards
- Post transactions and journals using Sage
- Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns
- Produce financial reports (trial balance, aged debtors/creditors)
- Raise invoices and support school funding processes
- Manage financial aspects of the student iPad scheme
- Support credit control and audit requirements
- Provide general finance support across the school
About You
Essential:
- Experience in a finance role
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail
- Good IT skills, particularly Excel
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a busy environment
Desirable:
- AAT qualification (or working towards)
- Experience with Sage or similar systems
- Experience in a school environment
