About the Role
Blenheim High School is seeking an organised, proactive and personable **SEND Administrator** to support the effective running of the SEND department. Working closely with the Assistant Headteacher (SENDCo) and Deputy SENDCo, you will play a key role in ensuring high-quality administrative support for students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate SEND records and data in line with GDPR
- Manage SEND administration systems, including SIMS
- Coordinate communication with parents, staff and external agencies
- Support the organisation of EHCP annual reviews
- Manage diaries, meetings and correspondence for the SEND team
- Assist with SEND register updates and reporting
- Support exam access arrangements administration
- Provide a professional and welcoming point of contact for SEND enquiries
About You
- We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong administrative and organisational skills
- Is confident using Microsoft Office and data systems
- Communicates effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Can prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrates empathy and understanding when working with young people
Desirable:
- Experience in a school or SEND environment
- Knowledge of SIMS or similar systems
- Understanding of SEND processes and/or exam access arrangements
