An Introduction to our school

Executive Headteacher - Mr Darren Woollard & Head of School - Amanda Wiley

Welcome to Blenheim Primary School,
part of the Learning in Harmony Trust.

Blenheim is a large primary school in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex.  We have three classes per year group and currently have over 650 pupils on role.  We also have two nurseries at Blenheim which are based within our large outdoors grounds in School Way. At Blenheim we aim to create a happy and caring learning environment where all children are valued, encouraged and supported to be the best they can be.
We are fortunate to have fantastic grounds and facilities within our learning community, and a talented and committed team of professionals.

We are an 'Outstanding' school, noted by Ofsted that, "The school exudes a strong sense of common purpose. The values of ASPIRE (achievement, support, perseverance, independence, respect and enthusiasm) are evident at every turn. Pupils know what these values mean and demonstrate them in how they learn, behave and treat others. They are what being at Blenheim is about." (Ofsted 2020) .

Our school website will give you a first impression of Blenheim (www.blenheimprimary.co.uk), as well as providing regular updates for parents and pupils.  We hope you find the website useful, but please feel free to contact the school directly with any queries you may have.

We look forward to meeting you soon.

About us

Our Vision and Values

At Blenheim, we want all pupils to be inspired, to develop the confidence to face new challenges and to ASPIRE to be the best they can be. ASPIRE links to our school values of Achievement; Support; Perseverance; Independence; Respect and Enthusiasm; these core values are integral to everything we aim to do with the children.

The aims of our school are:

  • To develop self-confident, independent and resilient learners, supporting all children to achieve their best in every aspect of their learning, whatever their individual needs.
  • To inspire and motivate children to develop a love of learning through the provision of an engaging and innovative curriculum.
  • To provide a positive, stimulating and caring learning environment, ensuring individuals feel safe, valued and happy. We are committed to effective safeguarding.
  • To support all children to become respectful and responsible members of society.
  • To work in partnership with pupils, parents, governors and other organisations, supporting all families through a caring and nurturing ethos.

Learning in Harmony Trust

We are part of a supportive, growing trust.

In the Learning in Harmony Trust, we work in harmony to achieve excellence for all. We believe that doing things in harmony means a commitment to working collaboratively and effectively using everyone’s strengths to meet a common aim. We do not follow a school-in-a-box model and instead work collaboratively at all levels within and across each school to maximise potential through continuous challenge and support.

We live and breathe our values and focus on doing things the right way, providing the perfect environment for all our children to flourish and succeed. And with a diverse range of schools in two contrasting locations, we offer a unique opportunity for professionals looking for a challenging and rewarding career in a supportive, creative and forward-thinking environment. In the Learning in Harmony Trust, we work in harmony to achieve excellence for all.
