Following the retirement of our dedicated and committed Headteacher, the pupils, staff and governors of this friendly, diverse school are seeking to appoint an exceptional and inspirational leader.
Our current Headteacher has led the school through significant periods of change and as we move to the next stage of the school’s development we are looking for someone with the drive, energy and ambition to move the school forward and build on our successes.
We are looking for a strategic leader who is able to effectively identify the evolving needs, and implement a plan of action to achieve high standards across the school as a whole. You will create a shared vision which identifies areas for improvement and empowers parents, staff and pupils to achieve this.

We are looking for an experienced primary Headteacher who:
- has an inspirational and inclusive leadership style which will empower and motivate others to reach their full potential;
- has strong leadership skills to respond positively to challenge and change;
- is an excellent practitioner who has a proven track record of high expectations in raising standards;
- is committed to our inclusive approach which celebrates diversity;
- has excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- has very high expectations of behaviour and is passionate about children’s learning;
- will be able to further develop our collaborative approach and is able to lead and manage a large team of teaching and support staff;
- is able to maintain and strengthen our current links with parents and the wider community;
- will work in partnership with our Trust schools and members of the Trust community.

The Blue Kite Academy Trust and Oaktree Nursery and Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This position is subject to an enhanced criminal record check from the Disclosure & Barring Service which will require you to disclose all criminal convictions. A Section 128 Check will also be required as this role involves the management of an academy.
