You’ll have a clear and compelling vision and a strong belief in the importance of education, supporting the Headteacher alongside SLT in active leadership duties to direct the school’s wider mission. You’ll enable learners to become ambitious, capable and well-rounded citizens with the successful application of assessment, data and feedback.
Job Purpose
• To support the Headteacher in providing professional leadership and management
• To have a teaching commitment of 0.8 FTE and lead KS1
• To actively promote a culture that promotes excellence, equality, high expectations and ambitions of all pupils and staff
• Be a role model for all staff as an excellent classroom practitioner, focused on high quality teaching, learning, planning and assessment
• To contribute to the continual success of all pupils within St Peter's Academy
The Deputy Headteacher shall carry out their professional duties in line with the Teachers’ Standards (2013) and the School Teachers Pay and Conditions document. The post holder is also expected to interact with and lead colleagues at a professional level to promote a mutual understanding of the school’s vision and values.
