APPOINTMENT OF SIXTH FORM ADMINISTRATOR
30 hours per week, term-time only
Salary WSCC Grade 4 pt 5 - 6 pt 9 (dependent upon experience of successful candidate)
£24,790 - £26,409 paid pro rata (£16,930 – £18,036.08 actual)
We are seeking to appoint a Sixth Form Administrator to join our dedicated team, to be a friendly face on our Sixth Form Reception and also administer our Assessment Period Programme (AP). As well as reception duties, they will be supervising the delivery of student AP sessions set by the relevant departments. This is a very important role within the Sixth Form and the successful candidate will possess excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, nurturing professional relationships with students and staff alike.
As part of this role, we would ideally like to appoint someone with Level 6 Career Guidance qualification or willing to work towards it. This part of the role would involve a deep understanding of the university process and also a keen interest in promoting alternative routes such as degree apprenticeships, plus a willingness to support students to develop high-quality CVs and interview skills. They would also take the lead with careers education, external speakers, mock interviews with industry professionals, work experience placements and a variety of aspirational trips.
This is a new role for St Philip Howard, so we are very keen to speak to interested parties to discuss how this will look in practice, how we could support the successful candidate to achieve excellence in the role.
