The Role

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join our fantastic Year 1 teaching team.

You will be joining a successful, welcoming school that sits at the heart of its community. Our children are a joy to teach and make us proud every single day.

Working alongside an experienced partner teacher, and supported by a highly skilled and committed team of teaching assistants, you will play a key role in shaping the learning and development of our youngest pupils at such an important stage in their journey.

Our dedicated staff team works collaboratively to ensure every child is supported to thrive. We are proud to offer a nurturing, inclusive, and creative environment — a truly joyful place to learn and to work.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and is an Early Career Teacher, or at the early stages of their teaching career
  • Has experience of, or a strong interest in, teaching in Key Stage 1 (particularly Year 1)
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills and works effectively as part of a collaborative team
  • Can build positive, supportive relationships with children, colleagues and families
  • Is well organised and able to establish clear routines that support effective learning
  • Is committed to meeting the needs of all learners within an inclusive environment
  • Is aligned with the school’s vision and values, with a strong belief that every child can succeed
  • Brings enthusiasm, energy and a genuine passion for teaching and learning
  • Is keen to engage in ongoing professional development and grow as a practitioner
  • Is willing to contribute to the wider life of the school

Please refer to the candidate information pack, under "supporting documents" for more information about the role.
