Assistant Headteacher

Salary: Main Pay Scale / UPS (London Fringe) plus a TLR1B

Contractual hours: 32.5

Basis: Full Time

Start date: 15th April / 1st September 2024

We are looking for an Assistant Head Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to join GLT / Brakenhale School and become an integral member of the teaching staff. We are an 11 to 18 school situated on the southern side of Bracknell town centre. We are a community school. Our commitment to high standards and outstanding teaching has led us to become the school of choice for families in Bracknell Forest. You will also be joining a terrific team, emphasising the importance of cooperation and teamwork. Your role will be to support, hold accountable, develop and lead a team of teachers to ensure high standards of teaching and learning, the raising of standards and the wellbeing of staff and students. The successful candidate will capture all the qualities listed in this advert.

  • To assist the Deputy Head Teachers and other Assistant Headteachers in the development of teaching and learning by contributing to the staff development, induction, NQT and ITT programmes within the department

You will need:

  • Relevant degree
  • Qualified Teacher Status or be working towards
  • Experience of working in a school setting
  • Post Graduate Qualification
  • Evidence of / Commitment to continuing professional development
