Teacher of Science
Salary: Main Pay Scale / UPS (London Fringe) + TLR for the right candidate
Contractual hours: 32.5
Basis: Full Time
Start date: as soon as possible / 1st September 2024.
We are looking for a Teacher of Science. This is an exciting opportunity to join GLT / Brakenhale School and become an integral member of the teaching staff. We are an 11 to 18 school situated on the southern side of Bracknell town centre. We are a community school. Our commitment to high standards and outstanding teaching has led us to become the school of choice for families in Bracknell Forest. You will also be joining a terrific team, emphasising the importance of cooperation and teamwork. Your role at our school will be to inspire students to learn about Science, a topic of great importance in our increasingly developing world of Science. Main responsibilities:
- To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate
- To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a Teacher/Tutor
- To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to accelerate with their learning
- To contribute to raising standards of student attainment across the school
- To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth

You will need:
- Relevant degree
- Qualified Teacher Status or be working towards
- Experience of working in a school setting
