The Governing Body of Coety Primary School is appointing an effective, ambitious and highly motivated Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team. In this role, you lead all aspects of Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and Inclusion, manage a department and its staff, and drive strategic developments that strengthen our provision. This post provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior leader who wants to broaden their strategic influence within a thriving, inclusive school.

You Will:
- Deliver excellent classroom practice with experience across the primary age range.
- Lead a department effectively, managing staff with clarity, support and high expectations.
- Apply strong knowledge of ALN and drive improvements in inclusive provision across the school.
- Set strategic direction for teaching, learning and key school improvement priorities.
- Promote the Welsh language and uphold the school’s values and ethos.
- Use strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills to influence and support others.
- Maintain high expectations for pupil learning, behaviour, wellbeing and care.
- Demonstrate flexibility, enthusiasm and reflective practice, continually seeking improvement.
- Work closely with the Headteacher, SLT and Governors to drive strategic priorities.
- Aspire to senior leadership progression, bringing ambition to develop further as a future deputy headteacher.
