The Governors of Nantymoel Primary School wish to appoint a highly motivated, creative and inspiring primary school teacher with experience of teaching across the primary sector, to join our friendly, caring and professional team.
We are looking for an outstanding practitioner who is committed to making a difference within our school community and who will demonstrate unwavering commitment to providing the best possible learning opportunities for all our pupils.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent classroom practice and be passionate, ambitious, self-reflective and enthusiastic to contribute to our happy, successful and inclusive school community. They will provide our pupils with inspiring learning experiences that allow them to develop as independent, curious, reflective, cooperative and resilient learners. They will need to display high expectations of achievement, standards and behaviour and be able to work as part of a committed team and be fully supportive of the values and ethos of our inclusive school.
We are seeking to appoint an excellent teacher to take on the responsibility of ALNCo and become a member of the school’s leadership team. We are looking to recruit a teacher to effectively develop excellence in the learning and teaching and wellbeing of our ALN pupils. If you are the ALNCo that we are looking for, you will:
- Lead, manage and coordinate the strategic development of the school’s Additional Learning Provision for all learners with ALN.
- Be responsible for the progress, outcomes and wellbeing of our ALN learners and evaluate the effectiveness of ALN provision and progress of pupils across the school.
- Liaise with staff, parents and external agencies to provide maximum support and ensure continuity of provision.
- Be willing to actively engage in collaborative professional learning opportunities and promote effective collaboration across the school.

The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post. Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees. An Enhanced with Childrens Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
