32.5 hours per week
Temporary up to 12 months or until the post holder returns; whichever is earlier
The Governing Body are seeking to appoint an experienced teacher, who is innovative, creative and an inspirational classroom practitioner who is committed to supporting children’s wellbeing, learning and has high aspirations and expectations for the pupils’ they work with.
Llangewydd Junior School is situated in Bridgend and part of the Bryntirion Cluster of schools. There are 351 pupils on roll aged between three and eleven years. The school has 12 mainstream classes (three form entry) and 2 ALN classes.

The successful candidate will:
Be an excellent, experienced classroom practitioner with a sound understanding of the Curriculum for Wales.
Be able to provide high quality learning experiences that support and challenge all learners.
Be able to plan meaningful learning experiences both indoors and outdoors.
Work effectively as part of a successful team and manage support staff.
Be organised and have excellent inter-personal skills.
Liaise and work with parents, governors and the wider community.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
An Enhanced with Childrens Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
