Head of Religion, Values and Ethics (RVE)
with responsibility for KS3 PHSE (Learning for Life)
Salary: MPS/UPS - TLR 2C (8757) Permanent – Full Time
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and committed Head of Religion, Values and Ethics (RVE) to lead and develop this important subject area across the school. This post also includes responsibility for co ordinating PHSE at Key Stage 3, delivered through our Learning for Life programme.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate practitioner who believes in the value of RVE in developing ethical, informed, reflective and compassionate young people, in line with the Curriculum for Wales and its four purposes.
We are looking for someone who:
• Is an excellent classroom practitioner and can lead RVE across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and outcomes
• Is secure in curriculum design, assessment and progression in line with Curriculum for Wales expectations
• Has the ability to lead, motivate and support colleagues
• Has the ability to co ordinate and develop KS3 PHSE / Learning for Life, supporting consistent, high quality provision
• Is passionate about inclusive education, diversity and critical thinking
• Communicates high expectations and enthusiasm for learning
