Learning Support Officer - Betws Primary - Maternity Cover (Temporary)
Job description
30 hours per week

Term Time

Expected start date is 6 January 2026.

Temporary up to 12 months or until the post holder returns; whichever is earlier

The Governing Body of the Garw Valley Federation - Betws Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and caring Learning Support Officer to cover a maternity leave. We are looking for a Learning Support Officer to work in a highly motivated and friendly teaching team. The successful candidate will have high expectations of learner behaviour and attitudes to learning

Internal candidates who wish to apply for this position on a secondment basis must obtain approval prior to application from their Headteacher / Governing Body.

The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.

An Enhanced with Childrens Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
