Safeguarding & Wellbeing Lead

Permanent - 37hrs/wk, 41 wks/year

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and committed Safeguarding and Wellbeing Lead.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate practitioner who can:

- Work as part of an extended Safeguarding Team (including the Designated Safeguarding assistants.)

- The post-holder will lead the school’s safeguarding provision and be the main point of contact for safeguarding issues for pupils, parents, carers, staff and governors. 

- Ensure that all safeguarding and child protection procedures are consistently adhered to and that all members of the Cynffig Comprehensive School community are aware of these responsibilities.

- Work with the pastoral, wellbeing and support teams in responding to the wellbeing needs of pupils.

- Support parents of children with early signs of social, emotional, health, learning or behavioral issues, and work with parents, school staff and other support agencies to tackle the issues interfering with the child’s ability  to engage with school and learning and liaise with the school’s pastoral leadership team.
