If you are the exceptional Teacher of English that we are looking for, you will:
• Be highly effective in the classroom, drawing on a wide range of pedagogical practices to meet the needs of all learners, successfully supporting and challenging learners as they progress through school;
• Demonstrate infectious enthusiasm for the teaching of English, creating a dynamic yet purposeful learning environment for pupils;
• Support the English Curriculum team in developing learning and teaching by sharing best pedagogical practices to secure learner progression at all key stages;
• Support the LLC AOLE team in developing learning and teaching by sharing best pedagogical practices to secure learner progression at KS3;
• Willing to actively engage in collaborative professional learning opportunities and promote effective collaboration within the AOLE;
• Develop the confidence of our learners to enjoy learning and to participate fully in the life of the school community.
The English department is a supportive, forward-looking team with an excellent record of pupil achievements at GCSE and A Level.
All staff at Pencoed are provided with a laptop, the school makes extensive use of Google Classrooms.
