The Governing Body of Porthcawl Comprehensive are seeking to appoint for September 2026 a well qualified and motivated teacher of Science to work within this large and successful faculty who has a firm commitment to teaching and learning.
Collaboration and support are key features of the Science Faculty. All departments within the faculty share a vast amount of knowledge and experience in the successful delivery of science qualifications and schemes of learning.
The successful candidate will be excited at the opportunity to deliver Science at all key stages, including Triple Science at GCSE and, if able to do so, Physics at AS level.
Whilst the post would suit a physics specialist, applications are welcome from teachers of any science discipline. The post will be predominately linked to Science at Key Stage 3 with specialism mapped as required.
The school operates an excellent induction and professional development programme. This includes Talk Teaching, and Professional Enquiry. There are regular opportunities for leadership development and school improvement projects annually.
