The Governing Body of Plasnewydd Primary School seeks to appoint Part Time Administrative Assistant to join our busy office for 3 days a week. We are looking for a hardworking, committed person to join and support our office team. If you are a confident, friendly and flexible individual who would like to make a difference to the outcomes of children attending our school, this could be just the role for you.
You will exhibit outstanding interpersonal and organisational skills to support the smooth running of the school. You will help represent our school’s values and provide a warm and welcoming first point of contact for visitors to the school. You should be professional when handling confidential material, be an excellent communicator and ideally have experience of working in a busy office environment within a school setting. You will also be responsible for providing a professional and friendly point of call to all parents and visitors to the school, ensuring all queries are dealt with effectively and efficiently.
The successful candidate will undertake a range of administrative and clerical duties which will include, minute taking, various typing of confidential reports and other documents. You must be able to demonstrate a high and accurate standard of typing and word processing skills.
Some knowledge of the SIMS package would be advantageous but is not essential; however candidates must be computer literate and have excellent word processing and numeracy skills. The ability to work within tight timescales is an essential requirement for the post.
Candidates must be numerate, well organised, have excellent typing and communication skills and be able to work well within a team and have a flexible approach to working.
