The Governors of Ogmore Vale Primary School wish to appoint an energetic and highly motivated teacher to join our successful team. The vacancy has emerged due to the current post-holder retiring. The post is to commence on the 25th April 2022 or as soon after.
Ogmore Vale Primary School is an English-medium school providing education for children between 3 years and 11 years. The school has two local authority dedicated learning resource classes to support pupils with additional learning needs. This post is based in the foundation phase observation class (in the first instance).

The successful candidate will:
• Be a proven excellent teacher
• Be responsible for specialist teaching of pupils with severe learning difficulties
• Be prepared to teach in the foundation phase and key stage 2
• Have a secure understanding of the ALN reform.
• Have experience of working with pupils with additional learning needs
• Be flexible and versatile
• Enjoy working closely with colleagues
• Be highly motivated and well organised
• Have high expectations of all children in every aspect of school life
• Have experience of inclusion, including managing appropriate paperwork and working with outside agencies
• Contribute to the wider school community
