Opened in September 2003, Bridlewood Primary School is a popular and thriving school. As a small school we all know and care for each other; we are a close community and have pride in our achievements.
We have three shared core values: Respect, Responsibility and Honesty, which underpin the way we learn and behave around school.
Situated in the growing area of North Swindon, the school has maintained the ethos and atmosphere of a small school. We have pupils from a variety of different faiths and cultural backgrounds, with everyone playing an important part in our school.
We currently have around 240 pupils on roll aged between 4 - 11, organised into 9 classes. We follow the national curriculum, organised into topics for the children to experience hands on and cross curricular learning. We have wonderful outside learning spaces, many of which are supported by the local community for the benefit of our pupils.
We are a popular school, with a committed team of staff, working hard for the children in our care. We are proud of our happy, caring and supportive environment and we encourage children to develop a love of learning whilst also upholding our strong moral values of respect, responsibility and honesty. Ofsted (Jan 2018) recognised our well behaved pupils as a'a delight'.
As a school we aim to engage the interest of all our children and provide opportunities for them to thrive and develop their independence and confidence through a topic based curriculum. We also actively encourage the involvement of parents and the local community within the school.
