We are seeking a Clerk to the Governors to support our active and highly committed governing body to allow them to concentrate on supporting senior leaders in the development of the school. In this role you will:
- Provide advice to the governing body on governance, constitutional and procedural matters.
- Provide effective and proactive administrative support to the governing body and its committees.
- Ensure the governing body is properly constituted.
- Manage information effectively in accordance with legal requirements.
You will work closely with the Chair of Governors and the Headteacher. In addition to the full governing body (FGB) meetings that meets six times a year, you will be required to the attend the Strategic Development Group (three times a year), the Finance Committee meetings (currently four times a year) and the Quality of Education Committee meetings (currently six times a year). These are usually late afternoon/early evening meetings.
We are looking for candidates with:
- Experience of the role of Clerk or administration in an educational setting
- Willingness to learn and undertake training as necessary
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivation and good organisational skills
- Flexible attitude

SALARY AND WORKING ARRANGEMENTS
BG8 SCP 12-16 £29,064 - £31,022 pa (Actual salary £2,352 - £2,510)
133 hours to be worked over the course of the year - paid as 3.5 hours per week (term time only)
