Specialist Teacher Resource Base

Contract: 1 year Fixed term contract
Working pattern: Full time, Monday-Friday
We are looking for a specialist teacher to join our team and work in our Resource Base. The Resource Base is a purpose built spacious area including a life skills room, a sensory room, office space and a meeting room. It has been open since June 2025.
The SRB has cohort of 12 children with an autism diagnosis and all with speech, language and communication needs. The cohort is split into two classes: Willow and Ash.
This is an exciting and fabulous opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly skilled teacher to plan and deliver high quality teaching and learning in this specialist setting. Under the line management of the SENDCO and with direction of our Lead Specialist Teacher, they will work in partnership with the mainstream school, Resource Base Teaching Assistants and associated professionals to deliver excellent inclusive teaching and learning.

We are looking for:
● A teacher who has successful experience of supporting children with high level of need.
● A teacher with a track-record of delivering excellent inclusive teaching and learning, has a good understanding of pupils with SEND and how to inspire and motivate them.
● Someone with a positive, resourceful and forward-thinking outlook.
● Someone with the ability to prioritise, plan time and organise themselves effectively.
● Experience of using a trauma-informed approach in teaching and learning
● A teacher who is able to work effectively in a team, including deploying teaching assistants.
