We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised School Librarian to manage and develop our inclusive, welcoming school library service. Reporting directly to our Senior Leader for Whole School Literacy & Reading, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our curriculum, promoting reading for pleasure, and developing students’ information and digital literacy skills. This is a dynamic role where you won't just manage books, you will collaborate directly with faculties, deliver targeted literacy intervention programmes, and create a purposeful, safe, and inspiring learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
● Oversee day-to-day operations, including cataloguing, stock collection development, and budget management.
● Partner with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum and guide students in using digital research tools.
● Deliver planned literacy intervention programmes, track student progress, and organise engaging book displays and reading events.
● Ensure equitable access to resources for all students while upholding a strict commitment to safeguarding.
