Briarwood School is seeking an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Briarwood South, Throgmorton Road, Knowle.
Briarwood has a dedicated team of staff, governors and parents/carers who are proud to support 167, rising to 233 in September 2026, children and young people aged 3 to 19 years and are passionate about their progress, happiness and care.
Purpose of Job
To support the daily operation of the school kitchen by receiving, storing, reheating, preparing and serving pre-cooked school meals to pupils, while ensuring the highest standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, health and safety. The post holder will contribute to a positive lunchtime experience for pupils and maintain a safe, clean and welcoming dining environment.

The post is permanent - 18 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 4 days 10.15am to 1.45pm and 1 day 10.15am to 2.15pm. Term time only plus 6 days to deep clean the kitchen (1 day per every school holiday)
