Briarwood School is seeking an enthusiastic Administrator to join our team at Briarwood Secondary, Snowdon Road, Fishponds.
Briarwood has a dedicated team of staff, governors and parents/carers who are proud to support 167, rising to 233 in September 2026, children and young people aged 3 to 19 years and are passionate about their progress, happiness and care.
Purpose of Job
The Administrator will support the School in attaining its aims and objectives by providing an effective and efficient administration service. Providing support to staff, parents and visitors and ensuring information flows are effective.
In liaison with the School’s Senior Leadership Team the School Administrator will support the strategic management of ICT and provide efficient and effective organisation of the School’s reporting, recording and monitoring systems.
The Administrator will ensure that the administrative and operational functions to support the delivery of the curriculum and will assist the Head of School to monitor the Department budget and other sources of school finance.

The post is 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 8.00 am to 4.00 pm and Friday 8.15am to 3.45pm (which includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch break). Term time only, working 39 weeks (including 5 inset days), 13 weeks school holidays of which 6.6 weeks are paid as annual leave. No entitlement to annual leave during term time. £23,473 to £25,150 (Actual Salary), pay award pending, depending on local government continuous service.
