Chester Park Federation is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Assistant Caretaker and Cleaner to join our friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring our schools remain safe, secure and well-presented for our children, families, staff and visitors.
About the Role
As our Assistant Caretaker and Cleaner, you will support the day-to-day cleaning, security and maintenance of the school site. Working as part of our site team, you will help create an environment where children can learn, thrive and feel safe.
Key responsibilities include:
• Daily cleaning of classrooms, offices, toilets and communal areas
• Opening and closing the school premises
• Supporting site security and acting as a keyholder where required
• Carrying out minor repairs and basic maintenance tasks
• Monitoring and reporting maintenance issues
• Supporting health and safety procedures across the federation
• Assisting with site inspections, fire safety checks and adverse weather preparations
• Working alongside contractors and supporting site improvement projects
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
• Has experience of cleaning and/or basic maintenance work
• Understands the importance of health and safety in the workplace
• Is trustworthy, dependable and takes pride in their work
• Can work independently and manage their time effectively
• Is flexible and willing to undertake a variety of tasks
• Is physically able to carry out manual handling and outdoor duties
