We are seeking an exceptional, committed, and compassionate professional to join our team as Second in Charge (2iC) of the Resource Base at Blaise High School.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in leading and developing our Resource Base provision, supporting students with additional needs to thrive both academically and personally. Working closely with the Resource Base Assistant Headteacher, you will help shape a highly inclusive environment that enables every student to achieve their full potential.

Greenshaw Learning Trust is a highly successful multi academy trust that provides excellent quality, comprehensive and inclusive education through primary schools and secondary schools. Main responsibilities:

  • To support the AHT Resource Base in ensuring full compliance with the SEND Code of Practice, DfE Guidance on Resource Bases and statutory EHCP requirements
  • To support the precise implementation of Section F provision within EHCPs
  • To support the effective leadership and deployment of Teaching Assistants
  • Strong, professional engagement with families and multi-agency partners
  • To monitor and support the overall progress and development of Resource Base students as a teacher/tutor
  • To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to accelerate with their learning
  • To contribute to raising standards of student attainment across the Resource Base
  • To ensure the right students get the right reading and/or maths interventions and monitor the impact of these interventions over time
  • To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth

You will need:

  • Good Hons Degree
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Willingness to undertake further CPD including NPQ for SENCOs
  • Relevant postgraduate Studies.
