Careers Advice and Guidance Lead – Term-Time Only

OCL Scale 5 SCP 13- 17 (plus Local Government Pension Scheme)

Actual Salary £23,114 - £24, 746

We have an exciting opportunity for a Careers Advice and Guidance Lead to join our school.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised candidate to lead the delivery, provision and co-ordination of all aspects of careers advice and guidance within our school. This would include contributing to the curriculum and programmes to increase the employability and opportunities for all of our students and support the reduction of students not in employment, education or training (NEETs).

The right candidate would lead the destination planning, applications and recording (please note, 1:1 careers advice by a Level 6 careers adviser is not part of this role as it is provided by an independent careers adviser).

Our school

Oasis Academy Brislington is proud to provide exceptional education, at the heart of the community and are delighted to have been recognised as a ‘Good’ Academy, externally. (Ofsted, November 2021)

Joining our team of passionate, dedicated staff will provide you with a multitude of opportunities both personally, and professionally which will allow you to progress your career whilst making a genuine difference to the lives of children and their families, in Bristol.

What we can offer you:

- Generous local Government Pension Scheme

- Access to a modern, newly installed Fitness Suite and shower facilities, every day before and after the school day, free of charge.

- The chance to work in an impressive £34.6 million PFI funded building which opened in 2008. We have state-of-the-art facilities which offer a modern, flexible, technology-rich environment for teaching and learning, making it one of the very best equipped schools in the country.

- The opportunity to support students in building their technology skills as each of our students and staff have a 1:1 iPad to support their work and learning.

- Access to Eye Care vouchers and a national Cycle to Work scheme.

What we are looking for:

- A committed, passionate individual who wants to improve the life chances of students within Bristol.

- A great team player, who is able to support and develop others and work collaboratively to enhance the opportunities that we can give our students.

- A person who is committed to helping our students to have the ability to stand as first amongst equals, and to seek out opportunities to enhance their learning journey with us both in and outside of the classroom.

If you think this sounds like a career you’d be excited to explore, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, please see our website for contact details.

If you would like to get a feel for our Academy before you apply, we would be happy to host you for a visit and to show you why we think Oasis Academy Brislington is such a great place to look.
