An exciting opportunity to work at a rapidly expanding Special School.

We are seeking to appoint a Complex Needs Co-ordinator at our busy and vibrant Special School.  Briarwood has a dedicated team of staff, governors and parents/carers who are proud to support 167 children and young people aged 3 to 19 years and are passionate about their progress, happiness and care.  The School has five departments split across three sites in East Central Bristol.


To support the educational, personal, and social development of pupils with complex needs across the school, but particularly in the Nexus, by developing, implementing, and monitoring effective support plans. This role involves working closely with the Assistant Headteacher for Complex Needs, the Head of Provision and the Head of Inclusion, and other school staff to ensure the needs of pupils are met through robust support systems and effective communication with professionals and families. To respond to behaviour and medical crisis alerts as necessary. To foster parental engagement and family link strategies.

The post is fixed term until the end of the academic year 25/26. 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.45am to 3.45pm, term time only. BG10, actual rate dependent on continuous service.
