37.5 hours per week, 7 am – 3 pm Monday to Friday during school term time only
Cotham School, a successful, vibrant and diverse 11-18 comprehensive school, wishes to appoint an experienced Cover and Supply Manager on a permanent basis.
The successful applicant will be responsible for organising internal and external staff to cover teaching staff absences, to ensure a high standard of cover lesson.
You will be required to have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure. You will be responsible for leading the cover supervisor team within the school, including the coordination and organisation of advanced and emergency cover, liaising directly with cover supervisors and other staff, supply staff and agencies to provide exceptional cover lessons.
You may also be required to cover occasional lessons and provide learning activities for classes, if applicants have a teaching or training background. For this you will ideally have classroom management skills and qualities to deliver cover lessons to support and motivate students whilst maintaining a disciplined and purposeful environment. You will have exceptional experience of working with young people aged 11 to 16 in a learning environment.
The role will also include managing staff absences and recording and reporting effectively.
