Permanent, Full-Time position, Term Time Only, plus Inset days.

Salary – CLF 10 (£33,450 - £37,129)

Actual – £28,643 – £31,793 term time only plus inset days

Begbrook Primary Academy

We are a 3-form Primary School with a Preschool and we are part of the Cabot Learning Federation. We are a forward-thinking Academy and we endeavour to base our teaching approaches on the latest high-quality educational research. We have an innovative and creative approach to our curriculum in which children are encouraged to take on states of being as subject experts. This allows them to develop deep knowledge and understanding through a highly immersive learning experience. Our exciting curriculum enables children to develop a range of skills and it provides purposeful and engaging opportunities for their reading and writing. In addition, we support all children to develop self-agency and emotional literacy through helping them to understand themselves as learners and to have a sense of their own well-being.

We are looking for a Family Support Worker to join our supportive and talented team at Begbrook Primary Academy. We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.

What we are looking for:

To be successful in the post, we are looking for a Family Support Worker who will provide high quality, impartial, solutions focussed pastoral support and guidance to students and their families. They will enable students to achieve to their full potential, raise aspirations and facilitate academic progress. Will work in partnership with parents to strengthen parental capacity, promote understanding of their child’s needs, improve family relationships and increase parental engagement. The role will also involve working with our Attendance Lead to identify families for the Family Support Worker to work with to support improving attendance at school.

Given that a lot of your work will be conducting home visits and supporting families, you will need to have a UK driving licence, own your own car and willing to drive students/families. This will be done in accordance with the schools detailed risk assessment and expenses will be covered by the school.
