We are looking for a dynamic maths leader to shape ambitious learning at Montpelier High School, raising achievement through strategic curriculum design, exceptional pedagogy, and a commitment to student success.
Key responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day leadership for the development and management of teaching within your area.
Identify areas for development and improvement linked to the academy improvement plan, SEF, national and local initiatives.
Design, implement, and continually refine a high‑quality Maths curriculum that is ambitious, well‑sequenced, and accessible for all learners.
Support, coach and develop staff, providing effective CPD, mentoring and performance management to build a strong, collaborative team.
Model outstanding teaching practice, ensuring lessons are engaging, challenging and aligned with the school's pedagogical expectations.
Pay range:
M1 - UPS3 plus TLR2B of £6068.00
£38,984.00 - £57,116.00
Full time, permanent
Qualifications and Skills:
QTS or recognised equivalent
Degree in subject specialism or related subject
Ability to develop a number of curriculum areas
Ability to develop and lead on assessment
Ability to support staff and students in maintaining high standards
