Thank you for your interest in the position of Head of Music at Orchard School Bristol. We are seeking an experienced teacher and enthusiastic leader to join our Performing Arts team for September 2024.

You are:
- an experienced Music teacher and leader, or an aspiring leader of Performing Arts keen to develop your remit and have wider impact across a school
- enthusiastic about raising the oracy skills of our students
- an outstanding, innovating and creative practitioner, with a drive to develop an inspirational curriculum and teaching team
- passionate about the subjects in your Faculty with a strong understanding of the specific skills required to raise achievement at GCSE level
- committed to extra-curricular opportunities, ensuring regular opportunities for students to perform, including in whole-school productions
- able to inspire, motivate and enthuse students in lessons and staff in your team
- committed to the highest achievement for all students
- keen to learn and share best practice as part of a vibrant team of middle leaders
- Flexible if required to teach a small number of Drama lessons

Leadership experience is a significant advantage, along with experience of curriculum development and raising attainment strategies. We are keen to support leaders to undertake an appropriate National Professional Qualification if you have not yet gained one.
