We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and friendly team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and leaders to support high-quality teaching and learning, including providing whole-class cover when required. The role will include:
- Providing whole-class cover during PPA, other short-term teacher absences and subject leader release time.
- Teaching a specialist subject across the primary phase (eg PE / Computing / Music / Art / MFL).
- Supporting teaching and learning across the curriculum
- Delivering learning activities to individuals, groups and whole classes
- Providing support to pupils with SEND and delivering interventions
- Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion in line with our ethos and policies
- Supporting pupils’ wellbeing, progress and personal development
- Engaging in relevant CPD related to the role.
The position is for 32.5 hours per week over 5 days (8.30am to 4pm, with a one hour lunch break)

SALARY AND WORKING ARRANGEMENTS
BG9 salary scale £32,061 to £34,434 pa (Actual salary £24,628 to £26,451)
32.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm (with a one hour lunchbreak) term time only + inset days
Contract term: Fixed term contract from 1st September 2026 to 31st August 2027, with the possibility of this being extended.
Start date: 3rd September 2026.
