Broomhill Junior School is situated in South East Bristol within extensive grounds and buildings. We are an inclusive school, working in collaboration with our neighbouring Infant, Children’s Centre and Nursery.

With the ever-changing landscape of education and to enable us to support our children and teachers we are moving to have our SENDCo being non-class based. We are looking for the right person to join our very established and dedicated team here at Broomhill. You will be experienced in teaching KS2 children, with the support from the SENDCo.

At Broomhill children achieve and make good progress. However, we are striving to raise our standards in order that children achieve their full academic potential as well as their personal development. Our values underpin our whole curriculum and form the basis for a cycle of continual self-improvement.

Our dedicated staff team, supportive parents and effective governing body work together to provide a broad curriculum in which basic skills, personal development and enjoyment of learning are key features. Children are encouraged to take an active role in their own learning and in the life of the school.

We are a growing school with two classes in each year group. The successful candidate will need to be hardworking, enthusiastic and committed to raising achievement as well as giving children the skills and confidence to become successful learners.

We can offer the opportunity to work in a school which is committed to sustained improvement through collaborative working. We recognize the importance of all staff developing as learners. You would work in a school where everyone’s contribution is valued. The children are well motivated and respond positively to high expectations.

Visits to the school are encouraged, please contact the school office to book a visit. We are also able to offer a telephone slot with the Headteacher to give you an opportunity to ask and questions about the school if you are unable to make a school visit.

Please download an application pack.

To apply for the role of KS2 class teacher please complete the application form. Interviews will be offered to candidates meeting the criteria detailed on the person specification and interviews will take place on Thursday 7th May 2026.

We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. A DBS check is required for a successful application.
