Learning Support Assistant: Primary Phase

Salary: BG5 (£25,185 FTE, approximately £17,979.34 pro rata per annum)

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who is skilled in working with children with SEND including those with Autism, SEMH needs and/or challenging behaviour.
We are looking for:
• An enthusiastic, empathetic and hardworking Learning Support Assistant with a knowledge of de-escalation strategies.
• A resilient practitioner with the skills and empathy needed to support high needs pupils, including pupils with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs.
• A highly flexible and adaptable individual who is able and willing to work across the primary phase (Reception to year 6).
• A commitment to building professional relationships with pupils and supporting them both academically and pastorally
• A desire to make adjustments to support those pupils with special educational needs.
• The ability to undertake various roles including in class support, small group and individual learning interventions, 1 to 1 individual support for pupils and lunchtime supervision.

The successful applicant will take overall direction from the class teacher and SENDCO but will also be confident to make independent decisions to vary and adapt activities and strategies in the best interests of the child.
