Learning Support Assistant – with Emotional Literacy Support Assistant responsibilities

32.5 hours per week (8.30 – 3.30 with half an hour unpaid lunch break)

Salary: BG8 Term time only (Salary £28,163 pro rata, £21,172 actual)

Ashley Down Primary School is excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant with Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) training. This vital role supports children’s emotional wellbeing and resilience, helping them thrive both personally and academically.

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

- Is a qualified ELSA practitioner

- Has a warm, empathetic approach and builds trusting relationships with children

- Can plan and deliver structured emotional literacy programmes

- Works independently and shows initiative

- Is committed to supporting children’s social, emotional, and mental health needs
